IGN has launched its new weekly guide for VR, which will tell you how much you should buy and when you should be playing next-gen consoles.
First things first, the VR guide is designed to guide you through the buying process, as we’ll be providing tips and tricks to get you started.
We’ll also be providing advice on buying the best games and software, and what to look out for when buying games on PlayStation VR, HTC Vive, and Oculus Rift.
The guide is divided into three sections:Getting startedWith this section, you’ll find our top tips on getting the best VR experience on your new PSVR.
For example, here’s what you should look out a.k.a. the VR “VR Safety Tips”.
Here are the tips:1.
Make sure you’re comfortable using your new consoleVR Safety Tip #2: Check for motion sickness and avoid using controllers when playing VR games.2.
Use the controller with the headset on.
You may need to switch your headset on in order to use controllers.3.
Switch to full-screen mode and switch the headset to the full screen mode when you are in VR.
This can help avoid motion sickness.4.
If you have to use your controllers in VR, try using the controller on the other side of the screen, so you don’t have to look away.5.
Try using a Vive or Oculus Rift headset instead of a controller.
These headsets are easier to move around, and you’ll be able to get a better feel for what is happening.6.
Check your controller calibration to ensure that it’s accurate for VR.7.
Try playing your games on a headset that has a high refresh rate, like the PSVR or Oculus.
This will allow you to play with higher resolutions and smoother frames.8.
Try changing your controller settings to your liking.
For instance, try moving the controller up or down, but don’t make the controller move faster than it normally would.9.
Watch out for lag in VR games, especially when using the Vive.
You’ll be seeing noticeable stuttering and stuttering artifacts in the game as the game tries to synchronize its frame rate with your controllers input.10.
When playing on a PlayStation VR headset, be sure to turn off the gamepad, as this can cause lag in the headset.11.
You can adjust your headset’s resolution using the headset’s settings menu.12.
Switch from full-resolution to reduced-resolution graphics when you’re in VR with the PS VR.
