The Oculus Quest is the first headset from Oculus that will be compatible with the new Astro A50 and Astro A60 video game headsets.
The Rift will be supported for the first time with the Rift’s built-in 3D camera, which will allow users to capture immersive, 3D video in their headsets.
Users who preorder the Rift will receive the headsets as soon as they arrive, but there are some caveats: The Rift is a work in progress, and it will be available for a limited time in a few markets before being rolled out in other countries.
The headsets, which have a resolution of 1440×900 pixels, will be sold separately from the Rift.
Oculus says the headsets will be “as comfortable and immersive as possible” and they will not be made for people with vision impairments.
The first headsets will ship in February, and Oculus says they will cost $599.
