The company announced Monday that it has partnered with plantronics, a plantronics subsidiary that makes headsets and headsets for gamers.
The company says the partnership will make the headset and the Razer gaming headset more comfortable for gamers, while allowing the two companies to offer similar experiences to each other.
The headsets will come in two different versions: one with a dedicated mouse pad, and another with a touchpad.
Both headsets will cost $199.99.
Both will ship in spring of 2019.
The Razer headset has a more traditional-looking design than the Astro A 50, and the Astro headset has an improved ergonomics.
“It’s a much more immersive experience than the A50,” said Dan Stapel, executive vice president of product at plantronics.
“The Astro A’s design is the best-looking and most comfortable I’ve ever seen.”
Plantronics says it’s making the headset to be used with the Razer headset, and that the two will work together.
“We want to bring a unique gaming experience to our fans and gamers around the world,” said Stapels.
“In addition to the headset, the Razer Gaming is also going to be a great option for the AstroA50.”
The Razer gaming headsets will be available in the U.S. and Canada in March 2019.
“For the first time ever, we’re offering a gaming experience that feels like it’s actually going to happen,” said Joe Stilwell, president and CEO of plantronics in a press release.
“Razer’s technology and design makes the Razer A50 more comfortable than any other gaming headset on the market.”
